Unless you were married
in the simplest of settings, you probably know how many elements go into
making it nice. Here's a list of all the companies that extracted money
from us to make this wedding the unique experience it was. The ones that
did well are praised below. For the others, only the truth!
Wedding
Site |
The
Crest Theater
The ceremony was held on the Crest's stage. Then, after dinner, we
returned to the Crest for our variety show and dancing. The Crest's
web site tells the history of this beautiful old movie palace, and
explains how you too can rent it for your special event. The staff
were very helpful in making the event a success! |
Catering |
A
Shot Of Class
Formerly just down the block from the Crest, A Shot Of Class has moved
to Fulton and Marconi. Their service was absolutely top notch, and
they were well worth the price. There were no hassles at all. |
Wedding
Dress |
Bridal
Mart
Jacquie was never more beautiful. |
Tuxedoes |
Gary's
Tux Shops
We wore zoot tuxes. Very cool. |
Photography |
Christopher
Kight Photographers
Christopher himself did an excellent job on our engagement shooting.
But the guy who photographed our wedding took too many pictures of
the men, not nearly enough of the women, and had a technical problem
with his camera that led to basically blurry pictures of almost the
entire variety show. If you can get Christopher himself, you're fine.
Otherwise.... |
Video |
Silver
Oak Productions
Where the photos failed, the video saved the day! It was excellent,
and imaginative. We have since worked with Matt and Debbie on another
project, and I'm sure we'll do more in the future. Excellent work,
all on digital video for a high quality picture. Highly recommended! |
DJ
Services |
Function 45
Jeff Spalding of Function 45 has been a part of every STEP event I've
been to. His smooth style as a DJ, his fun games, and of course the
fact that he's a fluent signer made him the best choice for our event.

Balloon
Decorations |
Balloon
Creations by Carolyn
Carolyn Hadin employs STEP clients with jobs such as balloon weight
creation and has always showed support for the deaf and disabled people.
The balloons at the Crest were gorgeous, though they did keep me from
doing the stand-up juggle on my artistic bike because they took up
too much stage space! |
Limousine
Service |
Aladdin Limousine
A limo whisked Jacquie and John from the Crest Theater straight to
the airport for their Honeymoon!
(Yellow Pages) |
Elvis |
Michael Row
Productions
Providers of musical entertainment. Elvis was great.
