Cabin Directions:
IF COMING FROM SACRAMENTO/SAN FRANCISCO, take I-80 to Truckee. Exit on route 267 and turn right. This takes you right into downtown Truckee. Follow the signs, as you will be turning left at a 4 way stop to stay on 267. This will take you south about 10 miles, past Northstar, to Lake Tahoe. Then turn left on Route 28, which circles the northern half of the lake. 28 will take you through Kings Beach, Crystal Bay (the state line), and into Incline Village.

I think there is a traffic light at Country Club Drive, where you will turn left (maybe not). Go a very short distance, then make your first right onto Ski Way. This will wind uphill a ways, and then you turn right on Lucerne Way. Lucerne will bend around to the left, then look for 1094, on the left. It's a two story house with a small parking lot next to it. If you get lost, the house phone number is (775) 831-7075. If someone is there they'll pick up!

IF COMING FROM THE RENO AREA, take 395 south. In Reno this is a freeway. The freeway part ends less than 10 miles south of town, at the intersection with State Highway 431. This road might also be labeled as the Mt. Rose Highway. Exit there or otherwise head west on 431 (to your right). 431 will take you up and over Mt. Rose, and bring you down into Incline Village. It gets steep and windy, so don't go too fast, especially if it's dark!

When you start seeing side streets, look for Country Club Drive on your left. There is a fire station across the street from this intersection. Turn left on Country Club, and follow it down for 1-2 miles, to Ski Way on your left. If you miss this you will come to Highway 28 (Tahoe Blvd.) and need to backtrack 1 block. Turn on Ski way. This will wind uphill a ways, and then you turn right on Lucerne Way. Lucerne will bend around to the left, then look for the house on your left, at 1094. Mr. Toad's Breakfast Meeting Directions:
Meet at 9:00 at Frank's Restaurant, on Highway 50. If you're coming from around the lake, go to the bottom of the lake, down Highways 28 and 50. After passing through South Lake Tahoe, 50 continues until the big "Y" intersection, where Highway 89 splits off to the north. Go left at the Y, staying on 50. Frank's is about 1/4 mile down, on the left side. The address is 1207, and their phone number is (530) 544-3434.

If you're coming from the South or West, take Highway 50 from Sacramento. After passing the Lake Tahoe Airport, look for Frank's on your right.

Frank's Restaurant should be between the "50" on the map and the airport.

Northstar Directions:
Northstar is located on 267, halfway between Lake Tahoe and I-80. From I-80 (including anyone in Reno), exit on 267 in Truckee and go south. Follow 267 about 5 miles, down to the Northstar entrance. From the lake, take 28 to 267 and turn north, go about 5 miles to the Northstar entrance.

Northstar is a big place, so once you turn in, follow signs to the village. There is a downhill bike race going on that day so there might be a lot of cars, but the village should be relatively empty. We will be set up in the village, somewhere near the bike shop or the deli/restaurant.

Flume Trail:
This ride is also a shuttle, meaning cars will be needed at the start and endpoints. We may group up at the cabin in the morning, to go for breakfast together. All this will be figured out by Saturday, and we might even have printed directions then. Basically, the ride starts at Spooner Lake, which is where Highway 50 intersects the lake on the east side. It goes northward, and comes out near Incline Village. Parking near the end of the trail is very limited. We may arrange to be picked up at the Ponderosa Ranch, but we are not allowed to park there for trail use. We'll work out the details together, and work to consolidate our cars. The Ponderosa Ranch and Lucerne cabin are less than 2 miles apart!
