Detroit Waterfront
On a Christmas visit in 1989, I went up to the observation deck of
the Westin Hotel in the Renaissance Center. At the time, it was the
tallest hotel in the world. Fresh snow made the area look very different.
You can see the Ford Auditorium in the foreground, Cobo Hall in the
rear, and the circles of Hart Plaza in between. On another page you
can see a picture of this place from the opposite direction, down in the
Plaza.
